I just started seeing Dr. John Herring as my Primary Care Physician. He is friendly, competent, pleasant, and fit! He took time to listen, treated me well, and his staff is friendly! They are busy, but I would expect that for a good doctor who has been established in the community!
Dr. John Herring is excellent. I could not have asked for a better doctor. He listens and he is so caring and he addresses all of your issues. His nurses are great and very responsive to MyChart questions. Within 2 days of the visit, there were already directions on what to do about the abnormal lab. His nurse bragged so much about him to me and validated that he really really cares about all of his patients. I hear that his PA, Matt Sharpe, is excellent too. It is so nice to have a great backup provider to see if Dr. Herring is busy. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Herring is an excellent listener, critical thinker, and trustworthy healthcare provider. I’m so thankful to have him and the nurses in this office in Heber. Love the front desk staff and awesome nurses.
I am new to Heber Springs and feel blessed to have Dr. Herring as my PCP. Nowadays it is rare to find such a caring and compassionate doctor with great attention to immediate needs coupled with thorough preventive care recommendations. Three months ago, I was hospitalized, thinking I had food poisoning. Since then, I’ve continued having issues, so I decided to come here. I paid $85 upfront (without insurance) and spent only five minutes in the patient room before being referred to a GI specialist in Little Rock. No tests were done, no effort was made to rule out other conditions—they simply told me there was nothing they could do (but made sure to take my money first) and sent the referral, which could have been handled over the phone and free. [Update 10/23/24:] It took a week to get the call for the appointment and another week to actually be seen by the GI specialist they sent me to, also 1 hour and 19 minute drive to Little Rock instead of recommending a place in Conway… After spending $100 on the GI visit, I’m now $185.00 out of pocket with no answers or diagnosis. The GI specialist didn’t offer payment plans for uninsured patients, and I couldn’t afford the $1,000.00 upfront cost for the tests I needed. This place in Heber didn’t even try to refer me to a GI that could work with my financial situation when they knew I was uninsured. Shows how much care and attention they put in. Overall, this experience was a total waste of time and money. I won’t be returning—it feels like a complete scam.
