I cannot say enough amazing things about the ER staff, and Labor & Delivery team at this hospital. From the moment we walked in, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. Every nurse, doctor, and staff member treated me with kindness, patience, and respect during one of the most vulnerable and important moments of my life. The nurses, Angie especially, were incredibly attentive and reassuring, always checking in and explaining everything clearly so I felt calm and confident. My doctor was compassionate and professional, making sure both my baby and I were well cared for every step of the way. They truly listened to my birth preferences and made me feel empowered throughout the entire experience. The ER staff were also exceptional from the time I walking in! Rick, Chelsea and Kendra are just awesome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere felt peaceful and welcoming. Even after delivery, the postpartum care was exceptional — the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and supported as we adjusted to our new little one. Bringing a baby into the world is unforgettable, and I’m so grateful this hospital was part of our story. I would highly recommend their Labor & Delivery department to any expecting mama looking for compassionate, top-notch care
Everytime I go to Barstow Hospital I am treated kindly and in a timely matter. I am always happy with the care I receive from both the doctors and the nurses. I hear people complain all the time about this hospital and it makes me angry because it is not fair. If you are the impatient type who treats the staff rudely and complain about everything then you can't expect them to be happy when they treat you. They are performing a difficult serves that takes a little time to resolve. Waiting for test results take time. Give them the respect and kindness they deserve. They save lives and find serious health problems that benefit many.
I made a trip to ER and was checked in quickly and taken back to a bed. I was monitored and had tests run, I believe what took the longest was waiting for lab results to come back. During my visit I was checked on by several staff members who were all very professional and friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. The radiology tech had mentioned he was very busy that morning but still took the time to bring me warm blankets after he returned me to my bed. One of the nurses, Chelsea, listened to my concerns and history and took the time to converse with me. I was extremely impressed with the bedside manner I received from everyone considering I was at the ER and the staff are very busy. It was refreshing to see how these employees are invested in their jobs and were able to make a stressful time for myself a little more tolerable.
My sister took my nephew who’s not even a year old yet to get seen at midnight, their priority wasn’t a infant but was informed by staff members she would have to wait 4-5 hours. Your best bet is commute to Victorville or urgent care. Waiting room was packed she could not even sit. Do better for your community. I worked myself in urgent care but I’m down the hill and I wouldn’t give this treatment as health care provider myself.
I gave this hospital 5 stars because I, personally have been here twice, and was given great care, BUT, tonight, I had to bring in a friend. Nurse JAMES, at the front desk, met us as soon as we walked in. I remember he was here when I came in but was in so much pain, I didn't get his name,, But, tonight, I got it....Tonight, just like when I was here, He was pleasant, kind, thorough, efficient, friendly, light hearted and great sense of humor, and ALL while being professional. Some people just care,, you can feel that he genuinely cares. The others were also kind, helpful, polite, and together they made a great team. As I sit here waiting for my friend, I hear him, James, being thorough, kind, and all the above description to each new patient. This hospital is clean. Speedy. and efficient.
