I feel like it needs the option for separate reviews. The doctors/staff were great when I visited. Likely anxiety attack...but ruled out a heart attack so all's well. BUT the rating is low because corporate has made the asinine decision to outsource their billing to a company called EMBCC. If this company contacts you with all your billing info---DO NOT PAY THEM! I checked my EOB and the amount EMBCC was asking for was way off. I called and requested an itemized bill. I paid what was on the itemized bill which ended up being $26 too much. THEN I got a bill directly from CHI. I phoned and informed them it had already been paid to their third party billing service. I had to forward the email confirmation of the payment on the account. A few days later I got a new/adjusted bill from EMBCC which showed MY payment as an insurance payment and they wanted another $800+! This is ridiculous. I'm not saying don't use the hospital...BUT DON'T PAY EMBCC FOR ANY SERVICES! Wait and get a bill directly from the hospital.
Just really a bandaid hospital do the best they can not equipped for every bad situation my opinion. I ve been there a few times got me better than I was when I came in. Staff seemed knowledgeable & polite & kind. J. Petrie
I don’t understand why this hospital has such a high rating. I’ve been seen myself on multiple occasions as well as my younger child. The staff or Dr.Young does not seem compassionate about what they do. If you don’t enjoy your job, retire. I believe how you are treated here is based on status and race. I feel uncomfortable here. It’s hard to drive 30 minutes out to the next hospital when it’s an “emergency”. I had the worst emergency of my life, and Dr.Young had the audacity to joke about the situation. Dark humor is unprofessional as a doctor. Even his nurses and receptionist are rude. Have some compassion.
I was seen quickly and got a ct scan for my diverticulitis. I received two IV antibiotics over an hour and was prescribed meds and discharged. Very pleased with the care I received
As a new patient definitely did not feel welcome when walking in to the reception desk. One felt that speaking with other people was more of a priority than giving me the registration paperwork, and the other one kept ignoring me, didn't answer any questions and was super rude.
