I had an appointment scheduled for 3:30 PM and ended up waiting over 45minutes. Then the receptionist informed me that the doctor was behind and 6 other people after me had already went in and left and I’m still waiting. While I understand that unexpected situations happen, it would have been appreciated if patients had been notified beforehand instead of being left waiting. The lack of communication was frustrating and disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic. If I could give less than one star, I would.
West county health has served me very well and improved a lot over the years. They have excellent doctors and nurses. The appointment system is often successful for same or next day appointments and the online “my chart” system works very well. I live nearby, lm treated well, and am thrilled to have excellent healthcare.
While the nurses and most doctors are kind and helpful, most of the receptionists are rude and unhelpful. It makes the experience really unpleasant. Also the people in charge of scheduling don't seem to pay much attention to detail... My last appointment here there were people waiting for over an hour because we were all scheduled for the afternoon and there was no one in the back. No one knew anything until one of the people waiting ahead of me asked around and found that everyone in the eye department had already gone home. It all seems really unorganized. Also doesn't make sense that you can't step out momentarily for a 2.5 hour lab wait without being taken off the wait list when there are around 30 people without masks waiting ahead of you, with several of them coughing. It's kind of odd that I can't step literally *across the street* to pick up my prescription. Because honestly, who does that affect? I'm still in the vicinity and would come right back. Would you want to be in the middle of hella people coughing without a mask on? No, I don't either. It just feels like you have to spend a day here just to get labs, and that is so discouraging. As someone who needs labs done regularly, it's frustrating that you have to waste hours of your day for a 2 minute blood draw. Genuinely, they should hire more lab techs because this has always been an issue at this clinic and instead of adapting, it seems to be getting worse. I'm sorry but two to three lab techs are not enough when you have a ridiculous wait time every day. (On some occasions there has only been one tech in). It's not fair to the patients or to the technicians.
I get services for my son through here and sometimes it's just talking to the right person but overall it's been a good experience and he gets what he needs. We were new to this area and started here a while ago and sometimes it's taking real long for the wait at appointment time but we usually get what we need in a reasonable time
Psychologist ask to many unrelated questions. They’re to into personal business. They push medicine on the client. They don't believe the patient. Therapist care too much. But don’t seem to get the whole story down or accurate information down.
