The best labor and delivery experience ever. We welcomed our baby on the evening of April 20, and the entire experience was truly exceptional. From the morning shift nurse to the night shift team, everyone was incredibly professional, kind, and supportive. Although I can’t remember all the names, I would especially like to thank our nurse, Vita, and our midwife, Chantelle. They were not only highly skilled, but also so warm, patient, and reassuring throughout the entire process. We felt genuinely cared for every step of the way. Thank you to the whole labor and delivery team for making such an important moment in our lives so positive and memorable.
I took an older 80 yr old friend to the Kaiser in Downey emergency on Imperial Hwy. I was so pleased how the process went. Very clean and friendly professional doctors, nurses and staff. Yes, it's cold inside as is every hospital, so take a jacket and your patience. I always put snacks and water in my car. I have been to several emergency rooms and this one was top shelf. Remember where you are parked because it is a big big parking lot.
My stay at Kaiser was from December 1st to December 8th and again December 13 to December 18, fractured pelvis!! my experience was good my nurses to good care of me, Ms. Ebony, Ms.Jessica, Patrick, Ms.Regena( I hope I got that right) and Ms. May, would come to see how everything was. Dr.Pham amazing!! Blanca, Gabriela, were great as well, but the night people that assisted the nurses need a little help in being more compassionate, when they wake you up from a deep sleep you can have a heart attack or something, it’s not like you are in jail, they need to try and wake you up slowly, it’s not you are waiting on them to come in, don’t like night shift then don’t work the night shift, PT Orry and his team were great a little pain no gain kind of people, but mean well.
I am so disappointed in the service and care in the non- emergency treatment area of this hospital. We came in with my 93 yr old father, who fell. thankfully nothing broken but a decision was made to move him to a rehabilitation hospital. I ended up speaking with 3 different case workers and a multitude of phone calls (they only called me twice) the 2nd day the nurse on duty "Amor" was very attentive, which was very comforting, however we were still there the next day, waiting for a transfer.. 3 days in bed for a 93 tr old can't be good. That 3rd day I had to keep asking for an update on the transfer, even though the location was selected in the morning.. it's currently 5:00 pm and STILL WAITING... Thankfully I was here to be the voice for my father.. when he had to use the toilet, we made sure to press the call button way in advance, because by the time they came he was very uncomfortable. I understand he wasn't critical but there could have been some consideration to get him transferred. Just didn't feel any care or urgency for any of the patients here.
A huge Thank You to the pediatric ICU at Kaiser Permanente Downey Hospital. My wife and I are very grateful for the exceptional care our baby received at KP’s PICU during his surgery and post-surgery care. Everyone-- the nurses, intensivists, surgeons, and all the staff at the hospital showed a tremendous amount of patience, care, professionalism, and compassion. They were attentive to our needs and supported us through this challenging time. It meant so much as they guided us to be able to safely hold our baby again despite having a chest tube in. They addressed all our concerns promptly and were proactive in providing updates. The surgeons that operated on our son were so attentive, available, and always in communication with us throughout the process. What these surgeons are able to do is nothing short of a miracle. Our deepest gratitude to all the staff at KP Downey’s PICU. 🙏🏽
