Dr. Del Mar is hands down the best pediatrician in the area. He is so experienced, has seen it all, yet still listens to every concern a parent has. He errs on the side of caution and does not dismiss any concerns. He is available by phone after hours if there is an urgent issue. And he always takes the time to explain things, to help patients and parents be better informed about what is happening internally in various situations. On top of that - tolerant and respectful of the choices of his patients and parents!
Dr. Del Mar is the best pediatrician ever! One of the rarest and my most favorite qualities about him is that he listens to you and he is NOT judgmental. He is caring, patient and I always leave there feeling like my children are in good hands. I also think his staff is top notch! I highly recommend them!
Doctor Del Mar is the best doctor we have ever seen. His knowledge mixed with kindness makes you instantly feel at ease. My kids love him and we are grateful for his care and wonderful staff.
I posted a 1 star review this week and somehow it's gone so I'm posting again. Dr Del Mar dismissed my daughter and I on her first appointment Feb 28, 2019. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a pediatrician in my 20 years of raising children. When I asked him for a reference, he told me to go to Google. THEN told my daughter to see a different doctor instead of him after she asked him a medical question. He then told me to call that different doctor and had me google the number myself. When I called I was told they aren't accepting new patients. Also during the visit he actually said "do you have any other questions bc I don't want to waste your time." What??!! I drive to this guy's office, he decides he doesn't want my daughter as a patient bc he is incompetent and talks about wasting time. Dr del mar you wasted our time. Terrible experience. Terrible bedside manner. My daughter went to Sutter ER that same evening. There were other poor reviews here but disappeared and only 5 star ratings appear. Raoul I will continue to post this. You should not be practicing as a doctor. One word - terrible.
He’s one of a kind. We’ve been going to him for almost 16 years now. He’s the Doctors’ kids doctor also the ICU nurses’ kids doctor! You cannot find a better, or more knowledgeable doctor for your children! He was previously one of the doctors the ER doctors would call in for emergency pediatric consults. You’re in great hands.
