I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire staff and Emergency Room team at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. My husband was admitted to the hospital in critical condition with CHF and the professionalism, expertise, and immediate care provided by the medical team truly saved his life. From the moment we arrived, every member of the staff demonstrated exceptional skill, compassion, and dedication. During one of the most uneasy times for our family, the doctors, nurses, and support staff treated us with kindness, respect, and genuine concern. Their quick response, attention to detail, and commitment to providing the highest level of care gave us hope and confidence when we needed it most. We are incredibly thankful for the outstanding medical care and support we received. The compassion and professionalism shown by everyone involved will never be forgotten.
My stay was very happy and everyone that Did something for me they wonderful and I never had to wait for anything Someone Came less than 5 minutes unless they we're with someone. You could trust that When someone would pop in and say I will be in a few minutes and I always got Exactly what they said. It was very beneficial to be there. The men and women are keepers and they have a great bedside Manners all of them. They also were very good and very good at making a PERSON feel comfortable and someone In steadof a number or lower level of Citizen and you're the hospital that have ALL these beautiful people. I think a Raise would be atleast something to Think about!!! Love laurel Devor
Everyone has been amazing. The doctor in the ER got things rolling pretty quickly. All of my nurses have been so kind and very helpful. My room is very clean and EVS has been in to empty my trash and linen multiple times. The food is perfect very good. The admitting staff were very kind and sympathetic to what I am going through. Leadership and care coordination and even the dietitian have come by to make sure I was receiving everything I needed. Thank you St. Elizabeth I appreciate you all.
My experiences at the actual hospital, Doctors, nurses, and local support staff have been great. But the Dignity Health admin is sure making a real push lately to nickel and dime their patients. Dignity used to offer interest free payment plans with payment periods over a year. That was great because I've never walked out of an ER without a $1,000 plus bill. Now they're telling me for my latest hospital stay the best they can do is a five month payment plan with each monthly payment being more than $1,000. I'm fortunate that I can (barely) afford that. But that would be a crippling payment for so many people in the Redding/Red Bluff area. I'm sure someone in the C suite said this would be a great way to improve cash flow but what it's really going to mean is more people skipping out on bills. Dignity's billing customer service is a joke. They can't do anything beyond the script they have in front of them and refuse to let you speak to a supervisor. If they do transfer you to someone, they don't pick up the phone and don't call you back. The connections are usually so bad you can barely understand them. Probably also a deliberate strategy so you give up on getting your questions answered.
I have always had bad experiences at St. Elizabeth’s ER, However this last visit I was pleasantly surprised to be treated with Empathy, kindness, professionalism and dignity. I was very pleased with the help I received and the Doctors and Nurses took the time to look deeper into my condition and making sure I had the right treatment & Medicine I needed. I hope this type of service continues there, they were awesome and even checked up on me after a few days I was home. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses for helping me this last visit. I feel more comfortable going to St. Elizabeth now.
