You can get lost at first, if you’ve never been here, but they have a huge info desk you can’t miss. I have only been here twice. They have a nice cafeteria if you want to sit down have a cuppa and some conversation if your wife comes along. I have Kaiser, but it can be a long wait between appointments there. I went over a year last time, and this is somewhat closer than the Kaiser clinic, with less waiting.

Miserable place that refuses to treat my injury and has violated my rights (I'm serious). I have a service-connected disability that makes verbal communication difficult sometimes. During my appointment with Dr. Cunanan of the PM&R clinic, he criticized and mocked my speech difficulties. When I challenged him on his behavior, he called the VA police on me (I was not kicked out of the facility, but escorted out of the PM&R clinic to the lobby). These doctors are so callous or incompetent, that they will apply excessively vague "diagnoses" like PFP (a symptom, not really a diagnosis if we use Merriam-Webster to define). In addition to vague diagnoses that don't explain the symptoms' origin, they will prescribe medications that are for symptoms and conditions I do not have. For example: NSAIDs and corticosteroids when no inflammation is present. The latest reviewer I see on here is complaining about the prosthetic walk-in clinic, and I mirror his sentiments completely. Their schedule is ridiculously sparse, and even if you do see them within their hours of operation, they won't help you. They refused to give me a brace, despite one being ordered by 2 different specialists on 2 separate occasions. Instead, because I guess they didn't feel like doing work that day, they gave me a number of some civilian guy in Riverside to meet up with him and have him take measurements for my brace. I've called the number they gave me and nobody ever answers or returns my calls.
