Love some of the staff and my doctors at the VA Outpatient clinic. But some of their staff are not that great. Some will see you standing there and won’t even acknowledge you and some look like they just don’t like their jobs. But overall it’s not a bad hospital/clinic. The wait times have improved and still improving. The facility is nice but some areas can use some more renovations. I like that it’s easier to get parking now as couple years back it was hard to get a parking spot.
I had surgery at this place and the nurses and rn was going to guve me fentryal without telling me until I asked them what it was ,I said no hard core drugs then they proceed to put lies in my chart and misdiagnosed me . And they guve me fentryal after I was put out during surgery when I try to report them They called the police to have me escorted out of the va .they treat veterans bad here .only thing good to say is doctor gynecologist scott Gayle is very good at his job and makes you feel comfortable. Then the nurse at regular appointments tried to laugh and say imma take your daughter from me I called fda for them giving me fentryal without my permission But once again they lied . They misdiagnosed me with bdp but I have pstd.
This VA hospital does not have an Emergency Room, please do not go here if you experience a medical emergency as a veteran. David Grant Medical Center on Travis AFB and the VA hospitals in Sacramento and San Francisco are ER capable and 24/7. Speaking on the rest of their medical departments, they have all been extremely polite and patient to me, all of my appointments have been on time and generally I can get an appointment quickly, 1-2 weeks depending on the appointment, but up to a month got some specialty care. Overall I've had much better experiences than the medical care in the military.
Like any place, there are good and bad people. I like Dr Kaur, Primary Care. I don't like her nurse. I like Katie, in Physical Therapy and Dr Chan, in Chiropractor. Their receptionist, Georgia, is GREAT! I like Dr Fernandes, Pain; Dr Brar, Dr Hokowala, but the Receptionist should be fired (and whomever their supervisor is.
I had carpal tunnel surgery, very professional staff, nurses, and doctors. I had my reservations about the VA. I was treated very nice and had a great time considering it was surgery. Ive had four surgeries in last two years. This was the best experience so far. Thank you for truly great medical care!
