Monday, June 8, 2026 at 1:10 PMI broke my hip in February of 2026. I had Home-health Care, which included PT’s and OT’s for 5 weeks, and they were excellent. At the end of 5 weeks because I was doing well, the rehab suggested I go to Providence Rehab Services. I chose Bridgeport. I was doing well, according to my therapists, Carol. On my third visit, she had me do the ‘sled’ doing 3 sessions of 30 reps with 70 lb weights. I did them and did fine. However, I’m 81 and I have not done exercising in some years. Unfortunately, that has set me back horribly. The next visit I shared my amount of pain and my inability to walk , as I was before coming in…..steps that I was climbing like normal were no longer doable. My next visit I shared my concern and asked to not do as much. We went back to that machine and she asked me to only do 15 at 50lbs. I could not do it. I’m very upset and ,quite frankly, depressed. I have a lot of pain in that knee now, a lot of a down both sides of that leg, and walking up and down stairs is still slow and unnatural. I have not been back and will not come back. It’s so upsetting to have been well on my way to a good healing and normal life to not being my self, as far as, my up beat attitude, to push forward. This worries me because being 81 healing is slower anyway. I’m not doing any exercises at the moment per my doctors request. He says I can recover with time, but he is very unhappy with the program that was done. I don’t write bad reviews, typically…..however, I felt I needed to help another senior who would go in for the same problem and help for it. I cannot recommend this therapist to anyone. I’m very sorry , for us both, that I have to write this review.
